Cookies policy

§ 1. Preliminary provisions

  1. This Policy sets out the rules for storing and accessing information on user terminal equipment via cookies and similar technologies, in connection with the provision of electronic services by the Bernardine Monastery in Wetlina - Roman Catholic Parish of Divine Mercy, Wetlina 40a, 38-608 Wetlina, Poland (the "Controller").
  2. The legal bases for the use of cookies are:
    • Articles 173-174 of the Polish Act of 16 July 2004 - Telecommunications Law (Dz.U. 2004 No. 171 item 1800 as amended), implementing Directive 2002/58/EC (ePrivacy);
    • Article 6(1)(a) GDPR - for cookies requiring consent;
    • Article 6(1)(f) GDPR - for cookies necessary for the proper functioning of the Service.

§ 2. Definitions

  1. Cookies - small text files sent by the server and stored on the user's device, allowing identification of the device for proper provision of electronic services.
  2. First-party cookies - originating from the wetlina.bernardyni.pl domain.
  3. Third-party cookies - originating from third-party domains (e.g. map providers, analytics tools).
  4. Browser session - the period from opening to closing the browser window.

§ 3. Purposes and scope

  1. Strictly necessary cookies - required for proper Service functioning; do not require user consent (Art. 173(3)(2) of the Telecommunications Law):
    • laravel_session - session maintenance; lifetime: end of session;
    • XSRF-TOKEN - CSRF protection; lifetime: end of session;
    • cookie_consent - user consent decision storage; lifetime: 365 days.
  2. Functional cookies - store user preferences (e.g. language, consent acceptance). Require user consent.
  3. Analytical (statistical) cookies - anonymous traffic measurement, referral sources, popular pages. Used only after consent.

§ 4. Managing cookies

  1. Users may grant, modify or withdraw consent for cookies requiring consent at any time via the consent banner available in the Service.

  3. Restricting cookies may affect Service functionality, in particular preference recall and proper rendering of embedded maps.

§ 5. Consent and withdrawal

  1. Consent for cookies not required for basic Service functioning is given by an active "Accept all" click or by configuration in the cookie consent panel.
  2. Default browser settings allowing cookies do not constitute consent within the meaning of GDPR or Telecommunications Law (per EDPB Guidelines 05/2020 and CJEU judgment C-673/17 Planet49).
  3. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out on the basis of consent prior to its withdrawal (Art. 7(3) GDPR).

§ 6. User rights

For personal data processed in connection with cookies, users have the rights set out in § 5 of the Privacy Policy, including the right to lodge a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office.

§ 7. Amendments

The Controller reserves the right to amend this Policy in case of changes in law or technologies. The current version is available at /en/cookies.
